Story
​

The Overdrive was an Intel invention to transform your old 486 into a superior model, without the need for large investments.

This allowed, for example, to upgrade your 486 DX-33 to a 486 DX4-100, or in the version manufactured later, it allowed you to convert your Pentium 75 to Pentium 90 and even 100.

These Overdrives were made for the 80486 models, also for the later Pentiums, and some versions were even made for the Pentium II.

It is an expanded version of its successor the socket 132.

In this case it uses rows of 17 pins instead of the 14 as its predecessor

It was used mainly in the 80486 processors in all its versions, both SX, DX, DX2 and DX4. It was also used for the 80486 based Overdrives.
