Pentium Dual Core
History

The Pentium Dual Core began production in 2006, using the well-known 775 format.
Broadly speaking, we could say that it was 2 processors united in a single package. These processors They were built with Prescott cores and are sometimes confused with the Pentium D, since they came out with very little difference in time and the characteristics were very similar.
There may also be confusion with the next generation of processors, the Core 2 Duo that appeared just a year after the Dual Core and seemed more like a name change for a sales strategy than a new processor.
Initially, the speeds of the data bus ranged from 533 to 800MHz and it is manufactured.
Over time they were also manufactured in socket 1156 format.
