80386
Story

The 80386 was the first 32-bit processor. They were marketed at different speeds and two different types were manufactured. The first called DX, was a fully 32-bit processor, while its reduced version was called SX and had an internal 16-bit bus, with the consequent lower costs.
They were processors to work mainly under a DOS-type operating system.
SOCKET

QFP100

Quad Flat Package: This type of package has a square or rectangular shape and is designed to go in a socket or to be welded directly to the base plate. It is very similar to the PLCC used in other processors.
Used in part of the 80386 SX processor range and some 80486 from brands like Cyrix.

PGA132

Pin Grid Array: It was the second socket manufactured for x86 processors. It was often accompanied by a PGA68 socket for the insertion of a mathematical coprocessor.
